Gas South Moves Atlanta HQ to The Battery

After many months of planning—and many years at our original headquarters location— we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve officially relocated our Atlanta headquarters to a new office at The Battery.  

The new modern workspace is customized for hybrid work and collaboration, and it offers easy access to The Battery’s restaurants, shops and, most importantly, our longstanding partner, the Atlanta Braves. 

For almost two decades, Gas South was located on two separate floors at One Overton Park—not far from the new office location at The Battery. That changed a little when Covid-19 first emerged back in 2020. It forced us to come up with a new plan, which meant employees were sent home to work remotely.

Later, as the world began to gradually “reopen” in the months that followed, employees were allowed to return to the office as needed, though we all had new ideas about how our office could function.  

We saw that having most of our employees work from home was no deterrent to running our business successfully, and that’s how most of us continue to work for much of the time. But we also recognized the need for an updated office space that would allow employees to come and go as their particular jobs required.  

Our new Gainesville, Fl, office, which opened last year, was a good test for designing state-of-the-art hybrid workspaces. That location has been a great success, and so we moved forward with planning a new space in Atlanta for our headquarters soon afterward. 

Like our Gainesville office, variety and flexibility were key to the design of our new location at The Battery. Now located on a single floor, the office is grouped into neighborhoods that cater to diverse workstyles, facilitating the need for quiet spaces and other areas that suit collaboration. Each neighborhood has a distinct color palette, theme and feel that reflect different focuses. And each has a name that honors our partnership with the Braves and Gas South District—Left Field, The Dugout, Will Call, Arena, etc. Some of the noteworthy office features include a cutting-edge content studio, video-enabled conference rooms, gaming lounges, wellness rooms and sound masking throughout the 31,000-square-foot office. 

We’re all looking forward to making the most of this new space as we continue to serve customers as Georgia’s highest-rated natural gas provider.
