Looking Back at 2025 and 20 Years in Business

2025 was another great year for Gas South as Georgia’s highest-rated natural gas provider, but it wasn’t just about the progress we made as a company striving to Be A Fuel For Good®. It also marked a major milestone for us because, as the year ended and 2026 began, we officially entered our 20th year of business on January 5. 

That’s two decades of delivering great rates and dependable service to our customers, giving back to the communities we serve and continuing our commitment to helping our employees grow and prosper.  

With that in mind, this year-end wrap up feels extra meaningful to all of us. It’s a chance to celebrate what we’ve accomplished together in 2025 while moving boldly ahead into our 20th year. Let’s look at a few highlights from 2025. 

Giving Back  

As many of you might already know, we give back 5% of profits each year to help support children and families in need. That’s millions of dollars annually toward basic needs, education and health.  

And 2025 was no different, except to say we had another record year on this front, donating $5.8 million to our nonprofit partners and bringing our 20-year donation total to almost $26 million. In addition to that, our employees volunteered 1,800 hours with these organizations last year, proving that our company culture of giving is more than just words. It’s something we live out every day. 

Top Workplaces 

In August, we were thrilled to earn our highest-ever ranking by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as one of Atlanta’s top 15 mid-sized companies to work for. 2025 was the 10th year of recognition for us as a top workplace, which is a distinction thousands of companies compete for each year. These rankings are determined by anonymous employee surveys, so we feel honored that our team of 425 employees feels so good about working at Gas South. 

Continued Growth 

In early September, we officially finalized the acquisition of Virginia-based Enspire Energy, a natural gas company serving commercial and industrial customers throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. The company is known for its exceptional service, and Gas South was excited to bring Enspire into the fold. With this acquisition, we now serve about 500,000 customers in 17 different states. 

None of our accomplishments would be possible without each of our great customers, and we’re grateful for the trust they place in us every day. As we look ahead to 2026, we’re excited to continue building, improving and delivering even more value.
