Account Summary Page
Once you log in to your online account, you’ll be greeted by your Account Summary page. This is your homebase to view your account details at a glance, including your upcoming bill, scheduled payments, current plan, quick links and Gas South news. If you have multiple service addresses under your account, you will see those listed as soon as you log in.
Account Details and Settings
Your account details summary allows you to update and edit some items, though you’ll be required to call our customer care team to make updates to others.
Service and Mailing Address
Your service address is where your natural gas service is turned on, while your mailing address is where your bills or other account communications will be sent—quite often one and the same. You can update your mailing address easily by going to Manage Account. Under the Mailing Address section, choose Edit. If you need to change your service address, like in the event of a move, you’ll need to follow the steps to transfer your service to your new address. To start the process of transferring your service, go to Manage Account. Under Service Address, choose Stop or Transfer Service.
Contact Information
Your email address or phone number is where you’ll receive digital or phone communication (email, text or call), including any news that pertains to your account, customer care follow-ups or promotions and payment reminder alerts and updates. If you wish to change your email or phone number, go to Manage Account and select Edit on the Contact Information section.
Login Information
Your username is created when you register your online account. It can’t be changed online, but you can change your password by navigating to Manage Account > Login Information and selecting Edit.
Manage Your Plan
You can find your current plan under Manage Account, and you’ll also be able to make changes to your plan there.
Renewing Your Plan
If you’re eligible for renewal, you can change or renew your plan online based on available rate and plan options when it’s time. Fixed-rate customers will need to plan to renew online within 30 days of their plan expiration date—we'll send you reminders before then. If you make no selection, you'll be automatically moved to our variable-rate plan.
Changing Your Rate Plan
Variable-rate customers can switch their plan to either a fixed-rate plan or our OnePrice Plan at any time online. Changes will take effect immediately. Fixed-rate or OnePrice Plan customers will be notified when they're eligible to renew their plans and will have the ability to make any changes needed online. To find your plan expiration date, visit Manage Account > My Plan.
Service Updates
When it comes to making changes to your service location or overall service status, we make it convenient to initiate the change online.
Signing Up for New Service
New customers can turn on gas for the first time with Gas South online through our sign-up form. If you’re looking to reconnect due to non-payment, you can make a payment using your online account within ten days of the payment due date. Otherwise, you’ll need to sign up for new service.
Add an Additional Service Address
You can add more than one service address to your account. To do this using your active online account, go to Manage Account > My Plan and select Add New Service Location. If you haven’t had natural gas service with Gas South for more than ten days, you’ll need to follow the steps to start new service with us.
Transfer to New Service Address
If you’re looking to take your Gas South service with you to your next Georgia residence or small business location, you can request to transfer your service to your new location. Inside your online account, visit Manage Account > Transfer Service. It could take up to three business days for your request to be posted to your account.
Stop Existing Service
If you’re moving to a location outside of Georgia or Gas South’s service area, you can cancel service at your existing address by going to Manage Account > Stop Service. An early cancellation fee may apply if service is terminated before the expiration date. Rest assured, you will never be charged if you decide to move to an area where Gas South does not provide service.
Alerts and Preferences
You can manage which communications you get from Gas South and how you receive them. When you register, all communications are automatically turned on by default. However, you can adjust these settings in Manage Account > Alerts. It’s important to note that only the primary account holder will have access to manage this information.
